I'll be glad when this week is over! I've been fighting a nasty bug since last week and this morning I went to the doctor because I suspected a UTI. Now I'm on antibiotics (it was definitely a UTI), but I'm worried that I will end up with a yeast infection. I was pretty sick a couple years ago with Pneumonia/kidney infection and ended up with a nasty YI from the heavy round of anitbiotics. I guess you could say I'm a bit wary that this time wont give me another YI. I was told by my OB/GYN to ask for this pill (starts will a D?) if I were to ever go on antibiotics to help prevent a YI from developing. I am aware that bumping up my probiotics can help, unfortunately I now have a daily intolerence and can't do yogurt or anything else dairy. Any natural suggestions for helping to prevent a YI? A good probiotic supplement?
I've been reading that cranberry juice can perhaps prevent a YI? I'm currently drinking Trader Joe's 100% cranberry juice with my gallons of water. It would be nice if that was enough 🙂
