Totally TMI, so you are warned.

Earlier, I was getting ready to take a shower. I was standing naked in the bathroom looking at my skin/complexion and making judgments (ha), and my boyfriend was standing behind me naked. He rubbed against me a little bit, teasing me, but that was all. Right after that, I walked to the kitchen to get some water and I felt a warm gush. It was almost like I had peed a little bit. I got kind of worried, so I looked down and saw this milky white, thin fluid dripping down my legs. I wiped and it wasn't colored or anything, just ended up wiping away clear, runny discharge.

It's been almost 2 weeks since my period, so I thought maybe it was ovulation related. Could it be? I've really never had discharge actually drip out of me though. Since I was being teased a little, could it have just been me getting wet? I know that sounds like a dumb question but I wasn't too turned on at the time and sometimes I really don't know if I'm wet or not. I also don't usually get turned on while standing up naked and giving anything the opportunity to drip.

What else could it be? Anyone know what I'm talking about, at least? :\

Had you had unprotected sex recently? Sometimes trapped semen seems to do that, even quite a while after sex.

Nope. It’s been 3 or 4 days since the last sex, which was protected. But that’s a very good description of it, lol.

I don’t think it’s anything you have to worry about. From my experience it’s just discharge that happens through the month. I get it more or less depending on the time of month. Discharge is annoying.

I get it, too. Like, I can literally feel it gushing out. It’s a strange sensation.

When I was pregnant it was horrible. An entire 9 months of wet undies. I would SO take my period monthly over that, any day.

Weirdly enough, that used to happen to me a lot before I became sexually active. It’s very rare now that I’m older/have sex.

You know, same thing for me. Although it happened when I was younger and WAS sexually active. But now that I’m older I don’t have the discharge anymore.

Actually it turned out I had an abnormal pap smear. And when that finally went back to normal, I stopped getting the discharge. But I read it was just your uterus’s way of cleaning you out. Why people used to douche, although they now know it’s dangerous.

Nothing to worry about at all. It’s completely normal.

What you are seeing is cervical fluid, which is fluid released from your cervix. There are several different types of cervical fluid (eggwhite, creamy, sticky, wet). What you were experiencing was creamy-type cervical fluid. Your cervical fluid changes throughout your cycle. A typical pattern will be: Menstruation – No Cervical Fluid – Sticky or Creamy – Wet or Eggwhite then ovulation occurs, and after ovulation you will likely see little to no cervical fluid.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions!
