I have a yeast infection. I’m taking Monistat to help clear it up. I have been trying to not scratch while I’m doing the medicine. I found a lump on my inner labia right outside of my vagina though and I have no clue what is going on. It’s a hard lump. Is this common during yeast infections?

It could be just a small harmless cyst that either was always there and you didn’t notice it, or could have developed recently. I’ve had one for several years now (just a small, hard lump) and it hasn’t become an issue.

It definitely could’ve been there more than just when my YI started. Thank you for your response.

Hey, I don’t mean to scare you, but I’d definitely watch to see if it becomes red or any pus comes from it. I had a staph infection on my inner thigh a few years back that was apparently the result of skin breakdown from an external yeast infection. You should probably be fine though, it’s probably a harmless cyst.

Could definitely be a harmless cyst. I have had several of those, they seem to come and go. I was convinced at one point that I’d gotten herpes and asked the doc, she said they’re quite common. Just keep an eye on it — if it gets bigger, turns odd colors, or oozes stuff, consider getting it checked out.
