Hi VP-ers,

do you have any recommendation for a vibrator that’s good for a clitoris that doesn’t stick out/is hidden/unaccessible?

I used to use a bullet but I could barely feel anything, it’s as if the vibration didn’t penetrate deep enough under the skin to reach the clit…I didn’t invest in any other vibes because I was so disappointed with that bullet that it seemed like a waste of moiney…

Thank you!

You probably need something with really strong vibrations, something that a lot of bullets don’t have.

In my experience, toys made from hard plastic rather than silicone or other pliable materials have much stronger vibrations. I’ve bought most of my toys in-person at stores and always just ask the employee[s] if they can recommend something powerful. I haven’t been let down yet by anything they said I should try.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

I will go to the store, I’m just not so comfortable discussing my clitoral issues (I have clitoral adhesions) in front of strangers…

I saw those JimmyJane’s Form line, Form 2 & 3 and maybe even Form 6. The thing is, I’m not sure if I want a penetrative vibe, I thought of getting a separate dildo (small one to start with and see how it goes, I never used them before) but on the other hand, vibe + dildo in one would be practical.

As per slinkslowdown mentioned, you probably need something that’s stronger. I agree that bullets are very rarely strong, they’re just “mild” which works great for me.

I bought a vibrating dildo a while ago, it was made of a soft rubber/silicon and I dislike it because the vibration is too strong, so maybe that’s something that would work for you. The end of it is like a wheel that you turn and the more you turn it, the stronger the vibration gets. Even on low, I find it’s too much for me.

The store I go to, they always take the toys out and put batteries in to show me how it works, how strong it is, etc. Obviously, feeling the vibration with your hand and feeling it on your clitoris is different (I mean, look at me, I bought one I thought was fine, but against my clit it’s too much) but it can give you an idea. I’m sure other stores can do that too, if they don’t do it out of their own will, I don’t see why you couldn’t ask.

Thanks for your reply. I just have no idea how to know if something is for me.
I never really masturbated, I have clitoral adhesions and stimulating clitoral area doesn’t give me much pleasure so I gaive up. And fingering myself doesn’t do much either, so that’s why I was thinking of a clitoral vibrator rather than vibe-dildo one.

Any toystore i’ve ever gone to has allowed me to feel it in store. I would only buy it if i could feel it.

  6. Hta77 says:

The magic wand has very strong vibrations, being mains rather than battery powered helps. Unfortunately it’s not the cheapest option.

  7. EcrSuper says:

Well, it’s cheaper than JimmyJane’s Form line I was considering. Thanks for the recommendation. The only thing that seems unpractical is the size of the head, it’s too wide. How do you use it?

  8. EcrSuper says:

And omg there are so many of them, which one is the best?

  9. Ttefornia says:

Just a quick reminder that not everyone here is comfortable with being described as a “lady” – could you edit that line to call us VPers or superstars (:p) or similar?

As for vibrators, I’ve found the RO80 bullet is (a) cheap and (b) provides strong vibrations, it just doesn’t do it for me. I seem to really want simultaneous internal stimulation. Have you considered that?

  10. EcrSuper says:

Thanks for reply. I’ve turned it into a more politically correct version.

I’m not sure about internal stimulation. I’m not really experienced in masturbation and toys but on 2-3 ocassions where I inserted fingers, it didn’t do anything for me.

My go-to toy for deep, penetrating vibrations is a Wahl massager set on high. Another kind of toy that might work better for you would be something with a small, slender tip that could kind of get in between the folds near the clitoris. The thing that springs to mind right off is the Eroscillator, but that one is quite expensive and I don’t have any personal experience with it. Maybe look for something cheaper with an effective-looking shape, and see if you like it.

  12. EcrSuper says:

    Thanks for your reply.

That’s why I thought bullet might work, because of the shape of the tip. I’ve been looking into the JimmyJane’s Form 2 because it has those two ‘ears’ that might get inbetween the folds.

  13. Tcmnia says:

The best vibrator I’ve ever used on my clit was actually one made for G-Spot stimulation. Using it on my G-Spot did nothing for me except make me want to pee but when I used it on my clit, I nearly came off the bed.

  14. Nwooeva says:

I use a G-spot vibe on my clit, too. It also doesn’t do much for me in regards to penetration.

  15. Hteall says:

I’d suggest looking into something stronger and “wider” rather than pinpoint. (If you can afford the expense, a Hitachi is supposed to be extremely powerful! But something more powerful that can vibrate through the clitoral hood would be reasonable; many people actually don’t like direct clitoral stimulation, after all, so it’s not like the Clitoris Police will come complain if you find a way to get stimulation that doesn’t expose your clit.) Also, remember that your clitoris is mostly internal, and has two “legs” that go down around the outside of the vaginal area. (One of the pictures at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clitoris shows this. Note that this wikipage is probably not safe for work, as it shows both drawings and photos of vaginas!) So if you are okay with penetration, you might get some use out of a penetrative vibe. (I once was experimenting with some… um… rather larger non-vibrating dildos, alternating clitoral stimulation, and on the largest — non-vibrating — insertable… I think it was a combination of the tissues being stretched tight over the clitoral area and the general, um, girth. Bam. …not the most satisfying climax, but one of the more unexpected ones, since I didn’t think I was touching anything that would’ve done that at the time!)

    Good luck!

    Hi, thanks for your reply!

I’ve been looking into JimmyJane Form 2 vibrator (yes, it’s expensive but the online store I’d buy it from has a 1 year ‘no questions’ return policy…It’s got those two little legs and I thought that might circle around the area nicely and stimulate it, but I’m not sure.

I do know about the legs (I’ve discovered that from reading Sheri Winston’s book), and I did experience nice feelings when just touching the area near clitoris. But nothing I did really elevated the pleasure.

I’m not really experienced in masturbation and toys but on 2-3 ocassions where I inserted fingers, it didn’t do anything for me, so I’m not sure about internal stimulation.

  17. Hteall says:

Woah, that’s expensive, yeah… Might work, if the vibrations are strong enough, and if there’s a No Questions return policy, that’s useful.

Fingers are different from toys — it’s kind of like tickling oneself, I find. Which is not saying that you would absolutely have a different reaction to a non-finger insertion, but more that fingers can be orthogonal to whether you find penetration interesting or useful. (G-spot stimulation is another thing that can be… pretty nice. But, again, Different Bodies, Different Nerves.) You might want to consider getting a cheap, insertable vibe with a good buzz to it and see if it’s at all interesting. You can also, of course, use insertable vibes by simply laying them between the labia, so they they wouldn’t necessarily be a waste of money either way — and you could see if you could get a powerful one, and if it was an improvement over the vibe.

…heck, you could probably check out Staples or a drugstore and see if there are any cheap buzzy-things “for backrubs” that gave more overall buzz than a bullet!

Anyway, just stuff to consider trying for More Data.

    Good luck!

So I have some really good options for you!
You might want to check out the adult toy store EdenFantasys. They have huge sales going on. The current sale is 20% off your order by using the coupon code ROSES

Great powerful clitoral vibrators would be-

The Je Joue MiMi has amazingly powerful deep rumbly vibrations. I own and love her! She is waterproof rechargable and all body safe silicone.

A VERY intense clitoral wand massager is the famous Hitachi magic wand. I also own this one, and at times its almost to intense for me. You will love it if you have a hard time with clitoral vibrations being weak because this is amazing.

Then there is the We-Vibe salsa which I’ve heard is amazing as well. I don’t own this one but alot of people swear by it.

You might also want to check out my journal to if you’re looking for info on sex toys and sales. 🙂 If you ever need help or opinions on anything like this just send me a message. I’d be more than happy to help!

    Happy shopping!

    Hi, thanks for your reply!

The only thing I’m worried about if getting such a powerful vibrator, is that the hopes of pleasuring myself (or someone else pleasuring me) with fingers or enjoying oral sex would be gone because my body would get used to such strong vibrations 🙁

  20. Kdgle says:

I didn’t have clitoral orgasms at all until I got a Hitachi magic wand. At first it was a bit strong, but now it’s definitely one of my favorites. Yep–it’s big. I don’t know how others use it, but I just rest the big tennis-ball-like head thing against my mons, shifting it around (and perhaps a bit lower towards my vaginal opening) until I find a comfortable/exciting spot. Some people like to lay it on a pillow and then lie on top of it…this works fine for me but I’m paranoid about breaking it.

I’ve got one of those Form 2s. It was a gift from a rich but somewhat less than perceptive boyfriend. I find it to be really “buzzy” and not throbbing enough to make anything happening. I do like it for partner sex, though, because the menfolk don’t get freaked out by its appearance and yet they -do- love it near/on their genitals.

    (I’m a cis-female and I have sex with cis-males.)

  21. Sseyle says:

Yeah, I have a form 3 and it is also really buzzy. I was seriously disappointed in it actually. It kind of sucks, IMO. I was really excited to try it out, but it was a huge disappointment. I have come to find ways to enjoy it, but I have had a WAY cheaper vibrator that I liked WAY better.

  22. EcrSuper says:

Thanks for the info on Form 2! I can scratsh it off the list now.

The only thing I’m worried about if getting such a powerful vibrator as Hitachi, is that the hopes of pleasuring myself (or someone else pleasuring me) with fingers or enjoying oral sex would be gone because my body would get used to such strong vibrations 🙁

  23. Uoyva says:

Another rec for the Hitachi Magic Wand here. I can’t even use the second setting, the first setting is so strong.

  24. Kdgle says:

DOH! I’m sorry, I totally missed that you were in the UK. I checked out Lovehoney and it looks like they have some rechargeable wand-type-deals, too.

Okay, this may be TMI, but my vibrator experience was that my first serious boyfriend bought me a very simple plastic wand with a slight g-spot bend in it and I loved, loved, loved it. I got off on the penetration and the vibrations. Eventually (um, I had more sex, both with myself and with others) I tried out different things…I think it’s kind of a process. Different things work for different folks. I love sex toys (confession 1) and I am a huge (pun intended) size queen (confession 2). I don’t usually find guys with…um…penises of the size i might like or might safely be able to have sex with all of the time, so I find that the toys help me meet a variety of interests.

One other thing…I can’t really access my clit very well, either, but that’s because my lady bits are pretty fleshy. I’ve found recently that tapping the general area for a bit with a Betty-Dodson-style metal wand is deeply pleasurable…weird at first, but fun.

Uhhhh that’s so much of me up in your business, but I’m a bit hyper of late and want to talk about sex with anyone who will listen. 🙂

  25. EcrSuper says:

Hahaha, no problem at no, no such thing as TMI with me, I kind of seem to always drop a bomb on people if I mention something about sex. 😛 Well, my issue is not only ‘fleshy bits’ it’s also the condition, called clitoral adhesions (I don’t expect you to know about it :P) so my clit is not just hard to reach it’s completely ‘sealed away’.

I tried stimulated my G-spot and except for a bit of a pressure, didn’t feel much, same while being fingered.

At the moment I’m considering these 3:
    http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22095
    http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20464
    http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=20088

I’m leaning towards the first one because it’s cheapest. I don’t really know the difference in second one (probably nicer design, little heart?) and third one is rechargable but I don’t know if having a rechargeable wand makes it worth paying ?15 more?

  26. Angel says:

Hitachi magic wand is a must-have. Don’t let the size intimidate you.

I have a hidden clit that only barely reveals itself when I’m stimulated. The first time using my magic wand, I was sitting in a chair and just seeing how it felt because i just got it in the mail. i wasn’t trying to achieve anything. Within 60 seconds on low, I squirted for the first time in my life. Now I don’t use it by myself, I usually use it with my bf during sex. It helps me so much, It is the best investment and I have not regretted it at all.
